Set in Boston in the early 90s when the city was overflowing with savage criminals encouraged by local law authorization agencies, in which corruption, tribalism, and “taking it to the road” was the standard, until it all of a sudden changed. This is a fictional account of what was called the “Boston Miracle”. The change agent is District Attorney Decourcy Ward (Aldis Hodge), who originates from Brooklyn and structures a far-fetched alliance with Jackie Rohr (Kevin Bacon), a degenerate yet venerated FBI veteran who is profoundly put resources into maintaining the status quo. Together they take on a family of armored car burglars from Charlestown (Jonathan Tucker, Mark O’Brien, and James Michael Cummings) in a case that develops to encompass and eventually overturn Boston’s citywide criminal equity framework.
